2) 1. Bookings & Deposits

  • One Touch Auto Detailing may require a non refundable deposit to secure your appointment. This deposit may be a percentage of the total service cost and will be invoiced separately.

2) 2. Cancellation & Rescheduling

  • Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made at least 48 hours before your scheduled appointment to allow us to accommodate other clients.

  • Cancellations or changes made within 48 hours of your appointment will result in the loss of your deposit.

  • If we do not receive confirmation within 12 hours of our last attempt to contact you, your appointment will be cancelled and your deposit retained.

  • Late confirmations may result in your time slot being allocated to another client.

2) 3. Cancellation Fees

  • Multiple reschedules: If a booking is rescheduled more than twice, a 50% non-refundable deposit will be required to confirm any future appointment.

2) 4. Weather Conditions

  • Services such as paint protection coatings or paint correction are weather dependent and require dry, stable conditions.

  • If you wish to proceed during uncertain weather, a sheltered or indoor working space is required. We will not apply coatings or do paint correction in conditions that may compromise quality or durability.

2) 5. Client Responsibilities

  • Any delays, lack of access, or unprepared vehicles may result in additional fees or cancellation without refund.

3. Drop-Off Service Terms & Conditions (Temporary Renovation Period)

Due to ongoing renovations at our home-based detailing studio, drop-off services are temporarily available but not recommended until the studio is fully operational again. During this period, mobile detailing services remain available and are the preferred option where conditions allow.

Please review the following terms carefully when booking during this temporary period:

3) 1. Service Availability

  • Our mobile detailing service remains fully operational and is encouraged during this time.

  • Drop-off service is available by request, but due to current limitations at the temporary site, it is not recommended for high-end services such as paint correction or ceramic coating.

  • Full drop off service will resume once renovations are completed and the studio is fully equipped.

3) 2. Drop-Off & Pick-Up Location

  • If you proceed with a drop-off booking, the vehicle must be delivered to the address provided upon booking confirmation.

  • Pick-up will take place at the same location unless otherwise arranged in writing.

  • The temporary worksite may not offer the same facilities or working conditions as our permanent studio.

3) 3. Vehicle Preparation

  • Please ensure your vehicle has sufficient fuel and is in drivable condition upon drop-off.

  • Remove all valuables and personal belongings prior to handing over the vehicle. One Touch Auto Detailing accepts no responsibility for any lost or stolen items.

3) 4. Timing

  • All drop-offs and pick-ups must occur at the agreed time. Late arrivals may result in rescheduling or cancellation.

  • Clients will be notified when their vehicle is ready for collection. Prompt pick-up is appreciated due to limited on-site space.

3) 5. Site Limitations & Security

  • The temporary drop-off location does not have the same security measures or indoor facilities as our regular studio.

  • One Touch Auto Detailing is not liable for any pre-existing damage or damage resulting from natural disasters, break-ins, theft, or accidents that occur to your vehicle while in our possession. Before and after photos may be taken to document the vehicle’s condition. Vehicles are left at the client’s own risk.

3) 6. Weather-Dependent Services

  • Services such as paint correction and paint coatings are highly weather-dependent and require stable, dry, and rain-free environments.

  • Even if weather risks have been discussed and accepted in advance, One Touch Auto Detailing reserves the right to postpone, decline, or cancel correction or coating services at any time if weather conditions become unsuitable.

  • This is to ensure the highest quality results and protect the integrity of your vehicle's finish.

3) 7. Service Limitations

  • Some services may be restricted, modified, or unavailable during this time due to the limitations of the temporary worksite.

  • If your requested service cannot be completed safely or to our standards, we will reschedule at no cost or recommend an appropriate alternative.

3) 8. Communication

  • All booking confirmations, location updates, weather changes, or service adjustments will be sent via email or text.

  • Clients are responsible for checking these communications and ensuring their contact information is accurate.

All detailing services and packages are listed on our website: www.onetouchautodetailing.co.nz

4) 2. Right to Refuse Service

One Touch Auto Detailing reserves the right to refuse service at its discretion.

4) 3. Service Scope

Unless otherwise agreed, only the services outlined in the selected package will be provided. Closed interior pockets (e.g., glove boxes, centre consoles) will not be cleaned for privacy reasons.

4) 4. Client’s Responsibility

Clients must remove all personal belongings (e.g., bags, car seats, masks) before service. Additional charges may apply if OTAD is required to remove such items.

4) 5. Pet Hair and Heavy Soil

Additional charges may apply for pet hair removal or heavily soiled vehicles, and these will be discussed before service.

4) 6. Quoted Prices

The quoted price may change if the vehicle requires extra work or attention. Any additional charges will be confirmed with the client before proceeding on the day of service.

4) 7. Interior Shampooing

Not all stains can be one hundred percent removed due to the nature and age of the stain. In most cases, stains can only be minimised, not eliminated.

4) 8. Mobile Service Requirements

For mobile services, the client must provide access to onsite power (240V) and water, (external water tap supply). If these requirements are not met, the service may be postponed and a cancellation fee may apply.

5. Ceramic Coating Terms and Conditions Policy,

One Touch Auto Detailing Coating Terms and Conditions

5) 1. Coating Service Overview

One Touch Auto Detailing offers premium ceramic and graphene coatings for vehicle paint, wheels, and glass. Our coatings are designed to provide superior protection, hydrophobic properties, and enhanced durability. We offer three different options for coatings, with a choice of a 3 year, 5 year, or 7 year protection package, based on the coating selected for your vehicle.

5) 2. Paint Coating

Our coatings for paint protect the vehicle’s exterior from contaminants, environmental damage, and oxidation.

5) 3. Wheels Coating

This coating helps protect wheels from brake dust, water spots, and road grime, making cleaning easier.

5) 4. Glass Coating

Protects windshield and windows from water, dirt, and other environmental contaminants, improving visibility in adverse weather.

6. Eligibility and Pre-Coating Requirements

6) 1. Vehicle Condition: Protective coating is only applied to vehicles in good condition. Any pre-existing paint defects (e.g., previously coated, scratches, swirl marks, oxidation, or chips) must be repaired before the application of the ceramic coating. Additional charges may apply for any required paint correction services. If the client declines the recommended paint correction preparation prior to ceramic coating application, the coating's performance and longevity may be compromised.

6) 2. Preparation and Cleaning

Prior to application, the vehicle must be thoroughly cleaned, and all contaminants (e.g., tar, sap, iron particles) must be removed. One Touch Auto Detailing will prepare the vehicle as necessary to its best ability, but any additional preparation or corrections will be subject to extra charges.

6) 3. Surface Damage

One Touch Auto Detailing is not liable for any underlying paint issues or damage that may be revealed once the coating is applied, such as pre-existing scratches, chips, or imperfections that were previously undetectable.

7. Application and Durability of Paint Ceramic/Graphene Coatings

7) 1. Coating Durability

The durability of ceramic/graphene coatings is dependent on the type of coating selected, the condition of the vehicle, and the maintenance provided by the client. 3 Year Coating, 5 Year Coating, 7 Year Coating

While One Touch Auto Detailing guarantees that the coating will provide the stated protection for the specified term, the longevity of the coating can be impacted by external factors such as improper maintenance, weather conditions, or failure to follow the proper common care of your vehicle.

7) 2. Proper Maintenance Required

The client is responsible for maintaining the vehicle, which may include regular washing, the use of proper cleaning products, and avoidance of harsh chemicals, car washes, including self-service and automatic or abrasives that could compromise the coating. Warranty is void if the vehicle is washed at any automatic or manual car wash, or detailed by any third-party detailer other than One Touch Auto Detailing.

8. Client's Responsibilities and Maintenance Guidelines

To ensure that the ceramic/graphene coating performs as expected, the client agrees to the following:

8) 1. Wash & Care: Regular maintenance is required to preserve the coating’s protective qualities. We recommend that the vehicle be washed every 2-4 weeks using pH-balanced, non-abrasive car shampoos. Avoid the use of automatic and self-service car washes and strong chemicals or abrasive materials.

8) 2. Avoid Harsh Chemicals: The use of harsh chemicals, such as acid-based cleaners, petroleum distillates, or degreasers, can degrade the coating and void the warranty.

8) 3. Environmental Conditions: Exposure to certain environmental conditions, such as bird droppings, tree sap, road salt, and industrial fallout, can damage the coating if not addressed promptly. Failure to clean the vehicle regularly can lead to deterioration of the coating and may require reapplication.

8) 4. Post Coating Curing Time: After the coating is applied, the vehicle must be kept dry and out of direct contact with water for a minimum of twenty-four or forty-eight hours to allow the coating to fully cure.

9. Warranty & Reapplication Terms

9) 1. Warranty Coverage
The ceramic coating includes a limited warranty valid for the duration of your selected term (3, 5, or 7 years), provided the vehicle is properly cared for by the owner. Warranty claims are only valid if the coating has been correctly maintained.

Annual Inspection Requirement
To keep the warranty valid, the client must book an exterior only Inspection Valet once every 12 months from the date of application. This must be booked proactively by the client — no reminders will be sent. Failure to complete this service on time will void the warranty.

9) 2. Liability for Reapplication
One Touch Auto Detailing is not liable for reapplication of the coating due to lack of maintenance, environmental conditions, or improper cleaning. Clients are fully responsible for protecting the coating and ensuring it is cared for correctly.

9) 3. Warranty Exclusions

  • Accidental Damage: Damage caused by impact, abrasions, misuse, or improper washing techniques.

  • Environmental Contaminants: Damage from bird droppings, sap, salt, and other corrosives is not covered unless cleaned promptly.

  • Improper Maintenance: Use of harsh chemicals, automatic car washes, or neglecting proper washing methods will void the warranty.

9) 4. Reapplication Costs
If reapplication is required due to improper care or neglected maintenance, labour and material charges will apply. This will not be covered under the original warranty.

9) 5. Claims Process
If you suspect the coating has failed prematurely, please contact One Touch Auto Detailing within 30 days of noticing any issue. A visual inspection will be arranged, and if eligible, we will discuss available corrective options or reapplication.

10. Liability Limitations

10) 1. Liability Limitation

One Touch Auto Detailing’s liability under this agreement is limited to the cost of the paint protection service. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages that may arise from the application of the coating, including but not limited to paint defects, vehicle value, or loss of use.

10) 2. No Guarantee of Perfection

While paint protection coatings significantly enhance the vehicle’s protection, they are not a “permanent” solution and may require reapplication or additional care over time to maintain their effectiveness. There is no guarantee that the coating will protect the vehicle from all types of damage or that it will maintain a perfect appearance throughout the warranty period.

11. Privacy and Documentation

11) 1. Before and After Photos

14. Paint Protection Film Terms of Service

14) 1. Risk of Paint Lifting

14) 2. Stone Chips Visibility

Existing stone chips may become more noticeable after the film is applied due to uneven surfaces beneath the film.

15. Mobile Service Access and Requirements

15) 1. Power and Water Supply

For mobile detailing services, the client is responsible for providing access to a suitable power supply (240V) and water. If these requirements are not met, the job may be canceled, and a "Last-Minute Cancellation Fee" will apply.

15) 2. Service Location

The client must ensure that the vehicle is accessible at the agreed location and time. If access is obstructed or the location is unsuitable (e.g., poor lighting or weather), One Touch Auto Detailing reserves the right to cancel the service and a cancellation fee may apply.

15) 3. Site Inspection

Upon arrival, One Touch Auto Detailing reserves the right to assess the condition of the vehicle and the site. Additional charges may apply if extra labor or time is needed to complete the service.

15) 4. Weather-Dependent Services

If adverse weather conditions (rain, extreme temperatures, etc.) prevent the service from being completed, the appointment will be rescheduled at no extra charge.

15) 5. Damage to Property

One Touch Auto Detailing is not liable for any damage to property, including driveways or fences, caused during mobile detailing. The client is responsible for ensuring the work area is clear of obstacles and in good condition.

16. Client Cooperation and Safety
