One Touch Auto Detailing – Terms & Conditions

Effective: December 2025. By booking or using any service, you agree to these terms in full.

1. General Booking & Cancellation Policy

1.1 Free Consultations & Vehicle Assessments

  • Complimentary phone consultations are always free.

  • In-person vehicle assessments are free only if the booking proceeds as scheduled.

  • If you cancel or choose not to proceed after we have attended for an assessment, a minimum $150 (incl. GST) cancellation fee (or higher) applies and will be invoiced immediately.

1.2 Deposits

  • We may require a non-refundable deposit (typically $150 incl. GST or a percentage of the job).

  • Deposits are credited to the final invoice but are never refundable or transferable, including for change of mind.

  • Failure to pay by the due date cancels the booking automatically.

1.3 Cancellation & Rescheduling

  • At least 48 hours notice required → deposit retained if within 48 hours.

  • Less than 24 hours notice (mobile or workshop): minimum $150 (incl. GST) fee or higher.

  • No-shows or vehicle not made available: 100% of the quoted price charged.

1.4 Multiple Reschedules

  • More than two reschedules → additional 50% non-refundable deposit required for future bookings.

1.5 Confirmation

  • No reply within 12 hours of our final confirmation request → booking cancelled and deposit kept.

1.6 Weather Policy – Mobile Services Only

  • Applies only to mobile bookings. Workshop drop-offs are indoors and unaffected.

  • We may postpone or cancel on the day if conditions are unsuitable. No fee applies, and the deposit remains valid.

  • If you insist on proceeding, a fully sheltered area (garage/carport) must be provided.

2. Workshop Drop-Off Service (36/18 Lambie Drive, Manukau)

2.1 Drop-Off & Collection

  • Must be at the exact agreed time. Late drop-off/collection may incur $50/day storage fee (incl. GST).

2.2 Client Responsibilities

  • Remove all personal items, valuables, cash, toll tags, garage openers, etc. We accept zero responsibility for items left in the vehicle.

  • Vehicle must have sufficient fuel, a working battery, and be drivable. Provide all keys.

2.3 Security & Liability While on Premises

  • Vehicles are stored entirely at the owner’s risk.

  • We are not liable for theft, break-in, fire, flood, storm, earthquake, pre-existing damage, or third-party damage.

  • Before & after photos/video will be taken.

2.4 Collection & Payment

  • You will be notified when ready. The vehicle will not be released until paid in full.

  • Vehicles uncollected after 14 days are considered abandoned — ongoing storage fees apply, and we may dispose of the vehicle under the Contract and Commercial Law Act 2017.

2.5 Client Health & Safety

  • Clients must remain in the designated office/reception area at all times.

  • Entry to the workshop floor is strictly by invitation only and only when accompanied by staff.

  • Children and pets are not permitted in the work area.

3. Payment Terms

  • Accepted: EFTPOS, bank transfer, cash, Afterpay (5% surcharge), credit card (3% surcharge).

  • All prices include GST.

  • Payment due on completion unless pre-agreed.

  • Late payment: 3% per day on outstanding balance.

  • Unpaid accounts may be sent to debt collection — you pay all recovery costs.

4. Service Scope & Client Responsibilities

  • Only services in your selected package are performed unless agreed in writing.

  • We do not clean closed compartments (glovebox, centre console) for privacy unless requested.

  • Pet hair, biohazards, heavy soiling, or rubbish may incur extra charges (quoted on the day).

  • Not all stains can be fully removed.

  • Quoted price may increase if extra work is required — you will be advised and must approve before we proceed.

5. Mobile Service Requirements

  • The client must provide 240V power and an external water tap.

  • Failure to provide these → the job may be cancelled with full cancellation fee.

  • We are not liable for damage to driveways, lawns, or property.

6. Ceramic / Graphene Coatings, Paint Protection Film (PPF) & Headlight Restoration – Specific Terms

6.1 Service Overview & Warranty Periods

  • Paint & trim coatings: 3, 5, or 7 years (product-specific, confirmed in writing)

  • Wheel & glass coatings: 1 year only

  • Paint Protection Film (PPF) & headlight restoration: No long-term warranty

6.2 Preparation & Eligibility

  • Coatings and PPF are applied only to surfaces in good to excellent condition.

  • Paint correction (extra cost) is almost always required for the best results and full warranty.

  • Declining correction may reduce performance and void/limit warranty.

6.3 Paint Protection Film – Specific Risks

  • Small risk of paint lifting or edge failure, especially on repainted panels.

  • Existing stone chips may become more visible under the film.

  • You accept these risks by proceeding.

6.4 Headlight Lens Restoration

  • Longevity not guaranteed. Average 2–3 years, depending on UV exposure and garaging.

  • No warranty against future yellowing, hazing, or cracking.

6.5 Wheel & Glass Coating – 1-Year Limited Warranty

  • Same maintenance rules apply. Annual inspection not required, but improper care voids the 1-year warranty.

6.6 Curing & Immediate Aftercare

  • Vehicle must remain completely dry and preferably garaged for a minimum of 48 hours (some products up to 7 days).

6.7 Ongoing Maintenance (Mandatory for Any Warranty) You must:

  • Hand-wash only with pH-neutral, coating-safe shampoo every 2–4 weeks

  • Never use automatic car washes, touch or touchless

  • Never allow third-party detailing or dealership washes (their methods/chemicals void warranty)

  • Remove bird droppings, sap, bugs, and salt within 48 hours

  • Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive products.
    Failure voids all warranties immediately.

6.8 Paint Coating Warranty – Annual Inspection Required

  • 3 / 5 / 7-year paint warranty valid only if you book and pay for an annual Exterior Inspection Valet every 12 months (±30 days).

  • You are responsible for booking — no reminders sent. Missing one inspection permanently voids the warranty.

6.9 What Is & Is Not Covered Covered (when all rules followed): Premature failure due to proven product/application fault. Not covered: Physical damage, neglect, automatic car washes, environmental etching left uncleaned, accidents, pre-existing defects.

6.10 Claims

  • Report in writing within 30 days of noticing an issue. Valid claims → free correction/reapplication of affected areas.

6.11 Liability Limitation Maximum liability for any coating, PPF, or headlight service is limited to the original cost of that service.

7. General Liability & Guarantees

  • Total liability limited to the cost of the service provided.

  • No responsibility for indirect or consequential loss.

  • Satisfaction issues must be reported within 24 hours of completion.

8. Privacy & Photography

  • Before/after photos may be used for marketing (plates blurred or removed on request). Let us know if you object.

9. Changes to Terms

  • We may update these terms at any time. The latest version is always on our websites.
